Dr. Beatriz Rivela: Has a PhD in Construction and Architectural Technologies. Her research has been focused on environmental behavior modeling of processes using Life Cycle Assessment. She has applied LCA to evaluate strategic productive sectors and conventional technologies for solid waste and waste water treatment. Since 2005, Dr. Rivela has worked on the construction sector as part of several projects related to the LCA of buildings and the development of European standards for this area. Now she is a Prometeo Researcher at the National Institute of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (INER).

Dr. Juan Freire: Dr. Freire has a PhD in Biology. He has worked intensively in the field of R&D at Universidad A Coruña, published around 200 papers in scientific journals, and has been principal investigator of numerous projects. He has been in charge of the course Digital Economy at the School of Industrial Organization. Also, he collaborates on the delevopment of projects with institutions such as Universidad Internacional de Andalucía and Medialab-Prado. His professional activities have been focused on research, consulting, design, implementation, and project management related to innovation in organizations, environmental, urban, and land management, management and cultural production, digital culture, and education.


Dr. Llorencs Milà: Has a PhD in Environmental Sciences. His career has been focused on the environmental assessment of products and services using Life Cycle Assessment. The scope of his research has been the reduction of environmental impacts of human systems, most of all those impacts related to climate change from land use and hydric resources, as well as water footprint. Currently, Dr. Milà works as Programme Officer for the Life Cycle Initative, which was launched by the United Nations Environment Programme and the Society of Environemtal Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC).

Dr. Nydia Suppen: Has a PhD. in Life Cycle Engineering. Since 2005, she is the Chair of Centro de Análisis de Ciclo de Vida y Diseño Sustentable (CADIS). Her work is focused on research, coaching and counseling in the areas of Life Cycle Assessment, Water fooprint, Carbon footprint, and Environmental Merchadising for teaching institutions, government and industry. She is a founder of the UNEP Life Cycle Initative, the Ibero-American Life Cycle Network, and the Latin-American Ecodesign Network.
